Martinelli Luce Bolla Ceiling Lamp
Beschrijving
Designed by Elio Martinelli in 1960, the Bolla ceiling and wall lamp is a masterclass in mid-century Italian minimalism that remains a design icon today. Named after the Italian word for "bubble," the fixture features a square, white opal methacrylate diffuser that gracefully swells outward as if naturally inflated by light. This organic, fluid silhouette is elegantly anchored to its base by four distinctive, pivoting aluminum corner spacers, creating a striking visual tension between the soft, cloud-like shade and the precise, architectural hardware.
Highly versatile, this dual-mount piece functions beautifully as either a flush ceiling light or a low-profile wall sconce, casting a warm, uniform, and completely glare-free ambient glow. The lamp accommodates a standard LED bulb and is available in multiple sizes and various refined finishing versions for the corner supports, allowing it to seamlessly adapt to both compact residential spaces and grand architectural projects.
