Refraction was a concept that came to Catellani’s mind and shaped the Catellani& Smith Macchina della Luce and other creations.

• Mod. A: with four discs, each with diameters of 80 cm, 50 cm, 30 cm, and 18 cm. The total weight of Mod. A is 10 kg.

• Mod. B: with two discs, each with diameters of 80 cm and 18 cm. The total weight of Mod. B is 6 kg.

• Mod. C: with three discs, each with diameters of 120cm, 80 cm and 50 cm. The total weight of Mod. C is 13 kg.

• Mod. D: with five discs, each with diameters of 120 cm, 80 cm, 50 cm, 30 cm and 18 cm. The total weight of Mod. D is 16 kg.
