Artemide Tizio Micro Tavolo

This lamp was Richard Sapper's idea, he wanted to create a lamp that could directly illuminate his work. This would allow him to be more focused on his desk while the rest of the room is plunged into a semi-darkness. He wanted to create a lamp that was effective because of its direct brightness and would take up very little space on his desk.

The lamp is made of high quality black aluminium. Its maximum height is 76cm.

The lamp arm floats thanks to a weight at its end. The lamp base incorporates a transformer that lowers the lamp voltage from 230V to 12V, which allows the bulb to be powered. The electrical current passes through both arms of the lamp, so that there is no unnecessary and annoying cable.
