Artemide Cadmo Floor Lamp

The Artemide Cadmo Floor Lamp by Artemide is a contemporary, imaginative interpretation of the erotic hourglass state of a lady's body. Shaped from one laser-cut sheet of metal, this installation includes a smooth, white painted interior and exterior aluminum body and a weighted stainless steel base for stability. This unsupported lamp is made from an infusion shaped thermoplastic shade and uses an optical aluminum diffuser to scatter the light in an engaging gleam. Two free LED light sources discharge aberrant light upwards and along the body of the lamp, are controlled by a double switch on the line, and can be used either independently or together.

Artemide has a 3-word structure reasoning, "the human light," that has guided them since their 1960 beginning in Milan, Italy. Artemide's undertaking lamps - like the Tizio (1972) and the Tolomeo (1987) as they are long standing symbols of current Italian lighting. Working with an extraordinary, developing group of designers, Artemide lighting has had the option to extensively enhance with cutting edge materials, natural frames and propelled LED innovation.

The Artemide Cadmo Floor Lamp was designed in 2006 by Karim Rashid for the Italian label Artemide. Elegant and shapely as it is, the Cadmo floor lamp not only convinced many design lovers, but also the jury of the IF (International Forum for Design) in Hannover.
